 My first brush with Emacs was in around 2019, when I installed it for use with the proof assistant language Agda. I had vaguely heard tales about its beauty and power, but I was nowhere near comfortable enough with config files and programming in general to fully appreciate its capabilities (not to mention that I was using Windows at the time).
